Kirsten Heshusius lives
and
works
in
Amsterdam.
She
worked
for
five
years
with
the
art
collective
Warner
&
Consorten
with
whom
she
developed
performances
based
on
the
relationship
between
body
and
location
using
improvisation,
movement
and
objects. She
has
an
attentive
way
of
looking
at
her
surrounding
and
processes
social
themes
at
a
profound
though
serene
way
in
her
work.
One
of
her
latest
performances
is
‘Blackbird,
a
performance
about
self-censorship
and
a
huge
longing
for
freedom’,
which
she
played
at
AcciónMAD
in
Madrid.
In
‘Where
goes
the
white
when
melts
the
snow’,
a
PAE
organized
event
last
month
in
Enschede,
she
shaved
a
sheep
in
the
old-fashioned
way
at
a
graveyard.
In
outLINE
she
will
give
you
a
preview
of
a
performance
she
will
be
showing
at
Artfest#2
in
Zurich
this
summer.
