A challenge to spatial conception, Hendrik-Jan Hunneman's transformation of the space at outLINE ruptures the archetypal exhibition experience. In his work Hunneman provokes the unexpected, as the visitor becomes an actor in his own personal play. Thrust into a dual role, the visitor is at once the spectator and the spectacle. As in earlier works, he explores the boundary between visual arts, architecture, and theatre.
